「賽馬會A家」樂齡科技教育體驗日 Jockey Club “Age at home” Experience Day

為加深學生對樂齡科技的認識，iREd s 安排天佑小學五年級學生前往 「賽馬會A家」，參與一場以科技與關懷為主題的樂齡科技教育體驗日。

To deepen students’ understanding of gerontechnology, iREd arranged for Primary 5 students from Mary of Providence Primary School to visit the Jockey Club “Age at Home” for an educational experience themed around technology and care for the elderly.

Discovering How Technology Helps the Elderly

學生在導賞員帶領下，親身接觸了多種幫助長者的科技產品，例如：電動床褥、智能餵食機和電動輪椅。他們透過觀察和講解，學到這些科技如何令長者的生活更安全、更舒適。

With the help of guides, students saw and learned about many useful tools for the elderly, such as electric beds, intelligent feeding machines, and powered wheelchairs. They discovered how these tools can make life safer and more comfortable for older people.

🧠 發問與學習・主動思考

Asking Questions and Thinking Deeply

學生在活動中十分投入，積極發問，例如：「點解電動床褥要轉位？」、「餵食機點樣知道速度？」這些問題展現出他們對科技的好奇心，以及對長者需要的關心。

Students were very interested and asked great questions like, “Why do electric beds need to change positions?” and “How does the feeding machine know the right speed?” These showed their curiosity and their care for the elderly.

Learning to Care and Show Empathy

這不只是一個科技活動，更是一個學習關懷與尊重長者的好機會。學生從長者角度出發，思考如何透過科技幫助有需要的人，並學會「以人為本」的設計思維。

This was not just a tech activity — it was also a chance to learn how to care for others. Students started to think from the elderly’s point of view and understand how technology can help people in need. They also learned about human-centered design.
